Description

I love to capture an expression. This Andean bear is located at the Nashville Zoo. He seems to enjoy sleeping/resting. They grow up to 340lbs and 5-6ft. They are very important to the forest ecosystem. Their diet causes them to disperse seeds in the forest which helps maintain new tree growth. They are the only bears native to South America.
